CHC - Chief Dave Golder Honorary Scholarship

Chief Dave Golder Honorary Scholarship – Dave Golder began his long and distinguished fire service career in 1968. By 1982 he was appointed the Training Officer for the San Bernardino Unit of the California Department of Forestry. While assigned to that position, he left his mark on the fire service with important things such as the development of the Incident Command System. Golder was also responsible for the development and implementation of San Bernardino County’s first Haz-Mat response teams and the First Urban Search and Rescue Task Force. The San Bernardino County Training Officers Association began this scholarship to honor Golder. He served three separate terms, as President of the Training Officers Association for a total of ten years. Criteria: Financial need (BOG waiver eligible); military personnel; diverse populations; 3.0 GPA; acceptance into the Crafton Hills College Fire Academy.
