CHC - Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship

Alpha Delta Kappa is an international honorary organization of women educators dedicated to educational excellence, altruism and world understanding. Two of the main purposes of this organization are “to promote high standards of education and thereby strengthen the status and advancement of the education profession” and “to promote educational and charitable projects and activities, sponsor scholarships, further and maintain worthy standards in the field of education and to cooperate with worthy community programs relating to education and charities”. This scholarship has been established specifically to honor and encourage students who feel the call to be an educator.
Criteria: Awarded to a student residing in the Inland Empire area; majoring in Education or a related field (school counseling, school psychology, speech pathology, Library science); must be transferring to a 4-year university in the fall; and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Student must also agree to attend one Beta Iota, Yucaipa Chapter meeting within 12 months of being awarded the scholarship.
