SBVC - LFSAA Ochoa Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is named in honor of Gina Ochoa, who served on the LFSAA executive board and was an active member for many years. She was a long-standing advocate for students, staff and the Latino Community until her passing in October 2009. The SBCCD LFSAA Ochoa Leadership Award is awarded to students who hold a 2.5 GPA or higher with a preference for students who demonstrate evidence of leadership in campus organizations, Latino/a descent, have a family with dependents, volunteer with sports organizations, identified as a student with exceptional barriers, involvement with MADD, or other advocacy with alcohol/drugs.
