CHC - Roger C. Anton Memorial Scholarship

Roger C. Anton Memorial Scholarship – As the second President of Crafton Hills College, Roger Anton served with distinction from 1974 until his untimely death in 1976. A native of Chihuahua, Mexico, he received his M.A. degree from UCLA. He was a Fulbright scholar at the University of Valladolid in Burgos, Spain. Roger served in varying capacities at San Bernardino Valley College from 1946 to 1974, including Foreign Language Department Chair, Tennis Coach, Faculty Senate President, Humanities Division Dean, and Dean of the Evening College. Criteria: Awarded to a student with classroom teaching as an educational goal; completed 55 lower division units and intends to graduate from Crafton Hills College with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; must have taken the equivalent of three semesters of foreign language; will transfer to a four-year college; is a US citizen.
