SBVC - Gene Laverne Aguirre Scholarship

Ms. Gene Aguirre returned to college later in life and graduated from Cal State San Bernardino. After earning her teaching credential, she was a substitute teacher for San Bernardino City Unified School District. Several assignments to San Andreas High School convinced her that she worked well with continuation students, so she chose to concentrate her efforts there. She encouraged many students to attend college or other training.

This scholarship is for students who went to a San Bernardino continuation or alternative high school. Preference will be given to graduates of San Andreas High School or another continuation or alternative high school in San Bernardino.
