SBVC - Gloria Alemán Memorial

Gloria Alemán came from Mexico at the age of nine, was a devoted wife of 35 years and the best mother to her four children. Three of her four children attended and worked at SBVC, one of whom has worked there for 29 years. Gloria also worked at SBVC for a short time in the campus Bookstore. Recipients must have completed 12 units at SBVC and plan to transfer to a four-year institution with a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Preference is given to Mexican-American students. One scholarship will be awarded to a male student and one scholarship awarded to a female student.
