SBVC - Dr. John & Elaine Bancroft Peace/Justice Scholarship

Dr. Bancroft was an administrator of student services at SBVC from 1969 to 1987, first as director of counseling and later as dean of student development. Mrs. Bancroft served as president of the SBVC Faculty Wives and a member of the SBVC Scholarship Committee. She is a graduate of SBVC.

This scholarship has been established for students who have chosen careers in which they can work to eliminate conflict and promote justice. Such careers include majors in early childhood development, family counseling, parent effectiveness training, teaching (especially when tolerance instruction is included), peace studies, psychology, social ecology, and international relations.
