CHC - Gordon A. Clopine Memorial Scholarship

Gordon A. Clopine was a dedicated Geology Professor and Administrator who served the San Bernardino Community College District for 36 years. He retired from Crafton Hills College as the Vice President of Administrative Services in 1997. In addition to teaching Geology and related courses at San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College, Gordon also taught Geology courses at the University of Redlands and Natural History courses at the University of California, Riverside. He left a lasting imprint on countless students, faculty, and staff over the course of his career. Gordon’s family and friends established the Gordon A. Clopine Memorial Scholarship to continue his support for students of all ages wanting to expand their knowledge and understanding of the world around them through study of the Earth Sciences.
Criteria: Awarded to a student who has taken a minimum of two Earth Science classes at Crafton. Transferring to a 4-year University and majoring in one of the Earth Sciences. Minimum GPA 3.0.
