SBVC - Dr. Donald M. Rusk Memorial
Dr. Donald Rusk was a professor of sociology at SBVC from 1969-1987. He founded and directed the Human Services Program. In recognition of his work in rehabilitation, former students founded the Rusk House in San Bernardino (a program to assist people recovering from drug and alcohol addition). Rusk scholarships are awarded to students concentrating in Human Services who have completed 15 or more units in Human Services and Sociology with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Selections are made by the Human Services Instructors.
