SBVC - Nick & Christina Zaharopoulos Self-Help Scholarship

Pat Zaharopoulos, a SBVC 75th Anniversary Person of Distinction, created this scholarship in honor of her parents. Nick and Christina Zaharopoulos emigrated to the U.S. from Greece after WW II and the Greek Civil War as Displaced Persons. Their four children graduated from SBVC and continued their studies to receive four-year degrees. Recipients must have financial need, low family income, U.S. citizenship or application pending. Students who have not been in the U.S. long enough to be eligible to apply for citizenship are included in eligible applicants.
