SBVC - Maureen Martinez Memorial

Maureen Martinez served as director of Financial Aid at SBVC for nine years. She was a dedicated professional, a daughter, a sister, a spouse, and a soon-to-be mother. She found her passion working in financial aid because of the difference it made to her when she was in college. Her dedication to students was extraordinary. As director of financial aid, she would do everything in her power to help students, including working with a student one-on-one to help him with his reading course so he could continue receiving aid. This scholarship is a continuation of her dedication to the students of SBVC. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and must have applied for financial aid.
