SBVC - James Q. Almaraz Memorial Scholarship

James Almaraz was a student at SBVC enrolled in the Puente Program and majoring in the physical and biological sciences. In the summer of 1995, James was killed near his home. This scholarship will be awarded to a past or present Puente student, with 2.75 or higher grade point average. He/she must major in a science, and must have completed 24 units of college work by the end of the spring semester. The instructors of the Puente select the recipients.
