SBVC - Veterans First

Deana Kelly Silagy is a graduate of San Bernardino Valley College who is currently an adjunct counselor at San Bernardino Valley College. From a young age she has had a passion for helping Veterans and comes from a family who has served our country from WW II until now. Her dad served in Korea, and most recently, her grandson served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Recipients must have completed 12 units of degree applicable credits at the time of scholarship receipt, be enrolled in at least 6 units for the ensuing semester, and must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher in any major. Highest priority is given to those who show promise of academic achievement, or are active in serving the community, or those who work outside the home while attending San Bernardino Valley College.
