CHC - Charles H. Beeman Memorial Scholarship

Charles H. Beeman Memorial Scholarship – Charles Beeman and his brother Jerry owned and operated Beeman’s Pharmacy in San Bernardino and Redlands for many years. He served as an elected trustee of the San Bernardino Community College District for 25 years. He earned his Baccalaureate at USC where he also graduated from the School of Pharmacy. He was an accomplished track athlete at San Bernardino Valley College and San Bernardino High School. He coached track and cross-country at San Bernardino Valley College for five years, including the 1980 Mission Conference Cross Country Champions. Charles served on the Board of Directors of the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce, the Highland YMCA, and the Republican Central Committee. “Chuck,” as everyone called him, passed away in February 2008.
Criteria: Awarded to a Crafton Hills College graduate planning to transfer to a four-year institution; completed at least 24 units in residency at Crafton Hills College; pursuing a course of study in the health profession; alternative majors in science and engineering also considered; GPA of 3.0 or higher.
