CHC - Harry C. Berger Scholarship

Harry C. Berger Scholarship – Harry C. Berger graduated from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy as a chemical engineer but decided to obtain more schooling at Tulsa University and earned a degree in petroleum engineering. He worked in South America for two years and returned to California where he continued working in the engineering field for several years. He moved to Wood River, Illinois, and became the General Inspector for the city and eventually retired. The Harry C. Berger Scholarship was established by his sister Nelda Rankin in 2005.
Criteria: Awarded to a Crafton Hills College student continuing to a four-year college; a U.S. citizen; an engineering major; GPA of 3.0 or higher; financial need considered.
