SBVC - Blythe Sprott Memorial

Dr. Blythe Sprott was a professor of graduate studies in alcoholism at Los Angeles State University. Sprott believed that courses in alcohol recovery should be offered by community colleges and with his advice, an Alcohol Recovery Certificate program was established at SBVC under the leadership of Don Rusk. This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Alcohol Recovery Program who have completed 15 or more units with a 2.5 grade point average or higher. Instructors of the Alcohol Recovery classes will select the recipients.
