CHC - Ronald L. Boatman Memorial Scholarship

Ronald L. Boatman Memorial Scholarship – Ronald L. Boatman was a field geologist and Crafton Hills College Earth Science professor. His love of geology, oceanography, and geography was a great inspiration to many Crafton Hills College students. He was a mentor and advisor to student clubs, and was active in the Crafton Hills Open Space Conservancy. His ability to motivate students to do their very best reached far beyond earth science instruction, as Ron was a sincere friend to all. His family and friends established the Ronald L. Boatman Memorial Scholarship upon his death on June 17, 2003.
Criteria: Awarded to a Crafton Hills College student interested in pursuing a career in the Earth Sciences; may be attending Crafton Hills College or transferring to a 4-year institution; GPA of 2.5 or higher.
