SBVC - The Kelly Family Technical Vocational Scholarship

Mr. Gary H. Kelly donated funds for this scholarship. Mr. Kelly is an alumnus of SBVC. In 1972 he enrolled in classes offered by SBVC at Norton Air Force Base, and on weekends he attended classes with SIU Carbondale. He completed two Associate degrees and his Bachelor’s degree in 1976. He was the first graduate at NAFB, Community College of the Air Force. He completed a master’s degree in counseling and was hired by SBVC where he worked as a counselor, work experience instructor, “Weekend Express,” the SBVC Foundation Director, and as Dean of the Technical Division. Applicants must major in the technical field and complete a certificate program or an AA degree, and be a returning student with a 2.0 grade point average or higher.
