SBVC - Hile Family Scholarship

The Hile Family has numerous connections with SBVC. John Hile taught here part-time while serving as president of Santa Fe Savings. His sons, Roger and Lloyd, received training at SBVC after SBHS before earning degrees from UC Berkeley and Princeton University. Roger became a mechanical engineer at Northrup Corp and Lloyd a professor of chemical engineering at Cal State Long Beach. The family is grateful for the excellent education SBVC provided. This scholarship is intended to aid students excelling in math and science who are preparing for technical careers.
