SBVC - Veterans First

Deana Kelly- Silagy graduated from San Bernardino Valley College and continued her education to become a counselor at the intuition where her journey began. She has had the honor and privilege of working with Veterans and their families as their counselor, advisor, mentor and friend.

From a young age, she has had a passion for helping Veterans and comes from a family who has served our country from WWII until now. She is the proud daughter of a father who served in the Korean War, and most recently, her grandson served in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Recipients must have completed 12 units of degree-applicable credits at the time of scholarship receipt, be enrolled in at least six units for the following semester and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in any major. High priority is given to Veterans who continue to serve in their communities.
